353. Quickie Web: Game: Flute Hero June 20, 2007

Last night, my good friend Ben was telling me how much fun he and his wife were having playing Guitar Hero 2. For those of us who don’t own an XBox 360, here is a free and similar game: Flute Hero.
Use your keyboard’s number keys to synchronize with the indicated musical notes. HumBugg: there should only be 8 notes, since thumbs are awkward to use when playing. Well-produced, fun, and frustrating. Play it HERE; via GameLife.

This is awesome – I can see a whole ton of new “Hero” games on the horizon:
– Bagpipe Hero
– Kazoo Hero
– Wind Chime Hero
– Dude that Sings in the Shower Hero
– Jingle Cats Hero:

The best thing about this game is that the volume goes to 11.
This is harder that I thought.
Bagpipe Hero… I like that one.
Mike: pretty funny…start programing, and I should get some royalties for inspiring you.
Ben: Nice catch…didn’t see that. For anyone who is confused, “volume goes to 11” is a reference to the classic mockumentary “This is Spinal Tap.”
Hugo: I agree. I thought I had a better sense of muscial timing.

From personal experiece, it is easier to actually play a flute than this game . . .
Doom: that is funny. And maybe true.

Well, it is kind of fun to play. And, yes, a real flute is easier, I think.
