Wow. I could have titled this post: “Sparked Art: Dante Bucci’s Hang Drumming.”

Beautiful and obscure percussion instrument + awesomely talented musician = one amazing video. I let this clip move me to tears. Check out Dante’s website HERE; more info on the Hang Drum HERE; via UniqueDaily.

Here is a Bright Idea: mash mad violin skills with phat, thumpin’ beats. I watched the video twice, mostly because of the stupefying musical abilities demonstrated by Dateh. Via FreshCreation.

Doesn’t sound possible, right? This is not a joke, nor a snuff clip. Professor Splash actually pulls it off on a Japanese TV show. Skip to 3:30 in to see him take the leap. Via Neatorama.

Jean-Yves Blondeau can speed up to 60 mph on his back, stomach, and all limbs, thanks to his Buggy Rollin’ suit. Check out a few moments of this video. Since I typically end up on the ground when I rollerblade, I want this suit. Via SciFiTech.

Over at GetFreshMinds.com, Katie Konrath presented a creativity competition aimed at stimulating connection making. With the goal of finding a way to improve a car, you are given a random word as inspiration. I was given “Carousel.” Read the post below to see what I did with it.

With her master’s degree in Creativity and Innovation, Katie knows how to get ideas sparking. Check out her blog HERE.

This game and prodigy are very similar to those in my Dance Dance Revolution posting (here). Like DDR, this game requires timing the right beats and notes to music (DDR requires feet; Pop ‘n Music, hands). The guy in this clip is incredible, even savant-like. It actually made me marvel at the vast capabilities of the human mind and dexterity. This 1.5 minute clip is via Neatorama.

I just happened to come across this clip, and was mesmerized for a few moments. A creative, original, and bizarre performance, which begins after the dude stops talking (about 20 seconds in). Veniamin’s website here.

269. Bright Idea: The Snapshot Mirror April 2, 2007

I just recently posted an IdeaSpark* (Post #262) that is very similar to this Bright Idea. It is a flexible mirror, most likely made out of mylar or a similar reflective material. My version, however, would be the size of a business card so you could put it in your wallet. This polaroid picture version is a cute gimmick, but ultimately less practical, IMHO. This one costs $9 (for $0.30 worth of materials). Buy it (or not) here; via BLTD.com.

The Secret is a spiritual documentary I have been writing about on Metabugg.com, and it was just featured on Oprah. On 2/8/07, she had several guests from the documentary on her show, including the producer. Here is an 8-minute clip I made of the highlights of the show, edited with music.

If you enjoyed this clip, please go HERE, to Youtube, and rate it. Thanks much.

Who is he? My current hero, someone I just discovered. He made a little plaything called The Scribbler, which I used to create the image above in 23 seconds. You may also remember String Spin (Post #126). He is clearly a programming and creative genius.

On his website he has many links. I am in the process of exploring them and will post highlights on SparkBugg.

Turns out he has a video podcast, and it also turns out he is a funny bastard, a musician, a spontaneous soul, and an engaging TV personality. This guy needs to have his own show on HBO. Check out the first video clip (3 min) I ever saw, titled “Hindsight“.
